Values Based Leadership

Values-based leadership is the idea that leaders should draw upon their own and others’ values—including those established by the organization— for direction and motivation. At its core, a values-based leadership philosophy means that people are mostly motivated by values and live according to those beliefs. In this session, we explore values based leadership that starts with a shared understanding of the difference between management and leadership. Team members will reflect on their own personal leadership values and explore how they translate into day-to-day workplace performance.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Establish foundational understanding of the difference between management and leadership

  • Develop a personal perspective of values- based leadership

  • Assess your own personal values and how they inform your career and life
